I want to say this will be a nice, quiet new moon in Leo,
with the opportunity to connect with your heart, & rekindle your joy. Certainly, that’s one element of this
coming new moon, but there’s some cosmic shove & tug & grind that makes
it less soft & fuzzy.
It’s my job to remind you (& myself) that it might be
fun to have some edge to our internal new moon experience. It might be absolutely ideal to have
that intensive effort, symbolized by the Mars/Saturn conjunction in Libra in
cahoots with the Sun/Moon conjunction in Leo. Although it makes the new moon less restful, it does enliven
the entire lunation cycle (roughly a month) with the ability to do great works
from your heart of hearts, & to do the grunt work now that will lead to a
greater joy than you may yet have known.
For instance, I have spent untold hours manifesting &
otherwise tending to new postcards of many of the collages you see on this
site. You can find these
conjunctions of art & energy on my
etsy store.
And it might be really wonderful to continue to ride that three
legged bucking bronco, a.k.a. the Pluto/Uranus/Venus T-square, while you get
all cozy with your new moon in Leo heart.
This might give you the edge you need to work with these questions:
When were the last several times you felt delighted? Does this align with what you tell
yourself you want? If not, what do
you think actually does make you happy?
Now the hard part.
And no cheating - be SPECIFIC:
What are you willing to do to get what you want? What are you not willing to do to get
what you want?
Now let’s talk about that heart of yours. Is it open? Let’s try a little experiment to find out. I know, this is kind of a break in the
flow of yummy information that we all love, but please take a moment to stop
reading, close your eyes, & focus on your heart for at least five nice,
deep breaths.
Did you do it?
Did you feel it beating in your chest? Was it fast or slow?
Do you think maybe it liked being thought of for a moment? Did it feel timid or strong, open or
shut down? Did it change as you
witnessed it?
Try that at least once a day, especially if you feel any
emotion, whether positive or negative, really strongly. See what happens after a couple weeks
of that. You might be surprised.
Really, that alone should keep you busy for a while. The planets are otherwise just going
about their sun-circling business without too much more hullabaloo. The Mars/Saturn conjunction will pass
in the next week or so, & Venus will move out of the T-square in about the
same timeframe, leaving us with just that friendly little Pluto/Uranus square
to contend with for the next two and a half years or so.
Other than that, the Sun enters Virgo on the 23rd, switching
us into the harvest season. After
all the hoopla of Leo, we’ll have the opportunity to center ourselves, &
consolidate our activities for the next month.
Bigger news is that Mars enters Scorpio the next day, where
he’ll be marching through until early October, just as Saturn will be entering
Scorpio. Pay attention to what you
put your efforts into in the coming months. It’ll be a prelude to the two and a half year Saturn in
Scorpio fugue. To help you probe
appropriately:
What & whom do you wish to commit to more deeply? What have you been on the fence about
that you need to make a decision on?
Helpful hint: sometimes there’s a third option that resolves the two
opposing choices - BE CREATIVE!
And it’s truth time, folks:
How & with whom are you being nice in stead of honest?
Okay, well that’s all until the blue moon at the end of the
month. As always, contact me if
you would like some help navigating your heart through this crazy timespace we
call life. Enjoy the next couple
of weeks, & keep your heart open!
